Welcome to the Employment Opportunities Web Page.  We have tried to ensure that job openings are current and accurate.  Job openings are active from the open date until they are closed by the Clerk’s Human Resources Office.  Changes are posted on the website as soon as practical.  The closing date established by Human Resources is the official closing date.  The Clerk’s Office is not liable for errors contained herein.

Employment Policy

The Clerk’s Office accepts applications for open positions only. Human Resources will keep applications on file for six months from the date originally submitted.  After six months, you must submit a new application to account for changes and/or updates.  It is your responsibility to notify the Human Resources Office if you wish your application to be considered for an open position.  You must meet minimum qualifications to be considered for open positions.  Individuals whose qualifications and experience best meet the needs of the Clerk’s Office will be invited for an interview.

If you need any reasonable accommodations during the application/employment process, please feel free to let us know.  In addition, please let us know if any reasonable accommodations will be necessary during the interview process.

Most positions require a typing test, which is administered at the Clerk’s Human Resources Office during regular business hours, 8:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.  *Please Note: It is the applicant's responsibility to make arrangements to take the typing test.  Applications will not be considered until a typing test has been taken for positions which have a minimum typing requirement.

All applications must be received in the Clerk's Human Resources Office before the position closes to be considered.  No online submissions will be accepted at this time.

Current Job Openings

Inspector General Auditor I : Under direct supervision of an auditor or the Inspector General, conducts audits or investigations on small or less complex audits and investigations, and assists in conducting fieldwork on larger and more complex audits and investigations. Provides written summaries of findings for review by supervisor or Inspector General. Collects, analyzes, reports, and maintains data and related files. This position is distinguished from others in this classification by the level of experience, education, and training required as well as the complexity of work performed. This position is classified as exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act; however, if the salary paid is below the Federal threshold, the employee will be considered non-exempt and will be paid applicable overtime wages. Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration or related field from an accredited college or university. Must be able to acquire certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) upon completion of examination and experience requirements. Starts at $31,863. Records Storage Facility Worker I Part-Time: Under the direct supervision of the Senior Clerk-Records Storage Facility, assists in the filing, retrieval and delivery of archived files in the Clerk’s Record Storage Facility. This position is classified as non-exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Must be able to type. Typing test available at the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Human Resources at 550 W. Main Street, north wing 3rd floor, Tavares, FL. Starts at $8.10 per hour. Finance Clerk Receptionist: Under the direction of the Chief Deputy Clerk-County Finance, is responsible for performing a variety of administrative/office management duties for the Finance Department. This position is classified as non-exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent (G.E.D.). Must have two years of related experience. Must be able to type a minimum of 35 correct words per minute. Typing test available at the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Human Resources at 550 W. Court Clerk: Under the direct supervision of a Senior Clerk, is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and processing of court records, performing the duties of a courtroom clerk, and providing cashiering services, as relates to the Traffic, Uniform Support, County Civil, Circuit Civil, Domestic Relations, Probate, Juvenile, or Criminal Divisions. The incumbent may perform one or more of these functions as assigned. This position is classified as non-exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
